Gotta get this posted up quick before this crazy storm destroys my power/internet/everything holy balls it’s really coming down
I have this weird OCD habit (although I’m sure other people do it so it’s probably not that weird (butwaitwhatifotherpeopledon’tdoitogod)) where I do a sort of checkup on friends by quickly glancing down one of the streets they live on when I know I’m going to pass by. It’s sort of comforting. But very awkward and strange.
I’ve never really been concerned about spoilers and such because I’m more a fan of the craft of storytelling rather than the emotional attachments involved with plots and characters. It’s not too difficult for me to suss out what is going on based on contextual clues. Not that that means I can’t get emotionally attached (I still cry during the Iron Giant). And, yeah, those throat slashes at the end were pretty silly.
I almost forgot to show you guys my haul from our local comic shop’s annual Memorial Day flea market!
My general rule of thumb when searching through cheap back-issue bins is to pick up anything with promises of MODOK (or his female counterpart, MODAM), Beta Ray Bill, Ambush Bug, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or any parodies of), and Mike Mignola covers no matter what the title. I just love that man’s art!
Go see the new Star Trek if you haven’t yet. Go see it if you have already! GODDAMN GO SEE THE NEW STAR TREK
